Context

Founded in 1998, Ikoula, the French cloud hosting expert and winner of the EuroCloud Award for Best Infrastructure in the Cloud, manages services in the field of domain names, virtual servers (VPS) and dedicated servers. Ikoula started out by renting equipment and rack rooms and later decided to engage itself in hosting dedicated servers and cloud services, enriching its services and becoming a cloud service provider.

THE DEPUTY AINA KURIC HAS VISITED OUR DATACENTER

We were honoured to welcome this Wednesday 30th of August, Mrs Aina Kuric, Marne’s second circumscription deputy, in our Datacenter in Reims.

Aina Kuric, deputy of « La République en marche » (French political party), came from the catering industry, she had the opportunity to work in prestigious establishments in France and abroad. Nowadays, as the CEO of a Wine tourism company in Reims since February 2015, she offers guided tours in a vineyard. On the 18th of June 2017, she is elected deputy of Marne’s second circumscription with 51.21% of the votes.

Ikoula will open a new business unit: Ikoula Bordeaux. This regional entity will be inaugurated the 05/18 at "Le Node" in Bordeaux, the CEO Jules-Henri GAVETTI will be at the evening lunch as well as several representatives managers form the headquarter in Boulogne-Billancourt.

Eurocloud is the European association which rallies several IT companies selling Cloud Computing services. Its purpose is to identify the future challenges of the sector and to protect those active in Cloud market. In the practice, it means partnerships and lobbying to improve their bargaining power.

After winning the 2015 trophy for the best Cloud service infrastructure, Ikoula just joined the EuroCloud France’s board. The CEO, Jules-Henri GAVETTI has joined the 14 others who make up that assembly. For many years, he has been very involved in his market sector and he has already led some great battles besides his major competitors. For example, he was one of the first to defend the CISPE project (Cloud Infrastructure Service Provider in Europe). That movement was designed to normalize an ethic hosting at a continental scale. Since its beginning, Ikoula has struggled for it and is now proud to be part of such a project.
