What does IKOULA offer?
« IKOULA offers a comprehensive range of hosting services: from virtual machines or containers (a lighter virtual machine) to more complex platforms, which can be hybrid (virtual and physical machines) or multi-cloud and also managed. Our cloud offerings have been available since 2016. Initially, our approach was based on a philosophy: providing tools that the client could manage independently. But we realized that we should not only position ourselves as a host but also support the implementation of these solutions. Rather than offering a packaged solution, we have evolved towards solutions designed according to needs. Hybridization is one of these needs - companies want to migrate all or part of their data to the cloud to ensure backups or continuity of service, and at the same time, they want to maintain control over this data - a need we address in two ways: on-premises presence and migration to IKOULA, or a multi-cloud solution. ».
What are IKOULA's strengths?
« Over 25 years of experience in web hosting and IT infrastructure, knowledge of standard cloud tools, and the ability to develop specific solutions to meet precise customer needs. Support and a pragmatic, personalized approach are our watchwords: by mastering hosting, application development, connectivity, etc., we can provide a solution that takes into account all our clients' challenges. « Those looking to migrate to the cloud, driven particularly by cost reduction needs, are primarily mid-sized companies and large enterprises. We also support SMEs, which often have not moved to full SaaS. A quarter of our clients are on our ‘cloud-type’ offers. ».
How do you ensure security?
« Besides relying on our extensive experience, including managing cyberattacks, we own two data centers located in France, and IKOULA is ISO 27001 certified. We offer a complete range of security measures, both physical and software-based, the latter relying, for example, on technologies developed by a major player in this field, Fortinet, and the IKOULA teams are trained in their use. We support our clients in securing all flows and accesses. This goes hand in hand with professional backup solutions that ensure data can be easily and quickly retrieved. ».
What are the upcoming developments your clients will benefit from?
« We will evolve our multi-cloud offering to provide our clients with a single access point to various platforms, and we will move towards serverless and add optimizations through machine learning. Clients are realizing that using data for generative AI is very interesting. We provide them with computing power for a given period with our data centers, allowing them to train their algorithmic models at a lower cost before they ‘repatriate’ these models locally. ».
